About our gauge plate
Gauge plate (also known as ground flat stock) is a high quality tool steel supplied in its annealed condition. Precision ground to size on both width and thickness dimensions to a close tolerance. This Material is capable of reaching high hardness levels with the minimum of movement. This gives the product great versatility to a whole range of engineering applications.
With our in-house grinding facilities we are able to produce almost any non-standard size, metric or imperial. We can work to close tolerance & flatness requirements in small or large quantities. We pride ourselves on our fast deliveries, in cases can be made the same, or next day.
We stock the standard range of metric & imperial sizes.

About our silver steel
This product is a high carbon bright steel ground to a very close tolerance. It is supplied in an annealed condition but because of the high carbon and chromium content it can achieve high hardness levels. This is a versatile product that can be used in many engineering applications. Silver Steel is available in a large size range in both metric & imperial diameters. Some non-standard sizes can be found in stock (e.g. 1mm, 5/64″) and we are able to produce non standard sizes to order.
We carry an extensive range of silver steel in metric & imperial measurements, with the standard lengths of 13″, 1 metre & 2 metre. 3 metre lengths can be supplied on request.

About our key steel
Key steel is produced from specially processed bars of the type usually used to make machine keys. Key steel is a very versatile product that can be used in factory machine shops, maintenance departments and precision engineering. It can be used practically and in keyed assembly. Bars are supplied in 12” lengths and 1 metre bars and in a bright drawn finish. A full standard range of both metric and imperial sizes are available.
