Coventry Grinders CG3 Ceramic Grinding Wheel * VIDEO*

In the below video we show the performance of our own brand of ceramic grinding wheel made with Norton ceramic grain on a hard material. Test piece is hardened D2 tool steel (1.2379) hardened to 62 deg Rockwell C. Wheel specification is a 46 grit K hardness. Ceramic likes pressure to perform at its optimum.

We demonstrate on a Jones & Shipman 540 Surface grinder, We used this machine as its the most popular machine found in toolrooms in the UK. We show a 0.002″, 0.003″ and then a 0.005″ feed rate. Used a single point diamond with a rough dress.

The wheel performs extremely well, cool cutting on dry grinding. We stock a comprehensive range of Ceramic wheels from internal, external, Surface and cylindrical in various grit sizes.
